King 810 (pronounced King eight one oh; formerly known as, and often shortened to, just Male monarch) is an American heavy metallic band from Flint, Michigan, formed in 2007. The band currently consists of David Gunn and Eugene Gill, with touring musicians Johnpaul Vega and Hector Dominguez. The band's offset release was their independent EP titled Midwest Monsters in 2012, which earned them a signing with Roadrunner Records; they released their 2d EP titled Proem in 2014, and their debut studio album Memoirs of a Murderer that same year.

History [edit]

Formation and Midwest Monsters (2007–2012) [edit]

The ring officially formed in December 2007 in their hometown of Flintstone, Michigan; however, the four members of the grouping had been performing together before then and had already gained a following.[3] The lineup consisted of frontman and vocalist David Gunn, bassist Eugene Gill, drummer Andrew Workman and guitarist Andrew Aggravate.[iv] [5] David Gunn revealed in a Metallic Hammer documentary that he started writing lyrics for the band when he was arrested and somewhen applied those lyrics to the ring, which had already adult a audio he recognized, then he adapted said lyrics to that style.[half-dozen]

In 2008, it was reported that the band had signed with Equal Vision Records, that Chiodos guitarist Jason Unhurt was a member of the band, making the ring his side project, and that they intended to release a full-length studio album in 2009. They toured together across America in Dec 2008. The band released demos on their Myspace, and information technology was reported that they had recorded an album with Marker Michalik at Detroit's 37 Studios.[five] [7] Notwithstanding, in Baronial 2009, the ring abruptly left the label without a stated reason, and with no album released. In June 2012, Gunn was assaulted when he refused to hand over a bag during a robbery. Suicide King, Yavid, and Line-Upwards Modify (2018–2019) [edit]

In the Spring of 2018 the band opened up for Emmure on their Natural Born Killers bout, Counterparts and Varials joined up equally back up. While Gunn and Factor wrote a 3rd king album, Gunn launched a solo rap project under the name Yavid, releasing his debut album Black Teeth Devil, Vol. one on July 13, 2018. On September vii, 2018, he released the sequel Blackness Teeth Devil, Vol. 2.

King fabricated their return on January 25, 2019 with Suicide King. The band kicked off the 2020s hot with the singles, "Hellhounds," on March 13, "Dukes," on May 1, and "Business firm of Dust" on June 12 with a new album on the mode. But before the fourth King album, Yavid dropped some other BTD rap album, Black Teeth Devil, Vol 4, on April 16, featuring the single "The Noids." On July 31, 2020 New Album By Yavid 9 Muses.

On November 13, 2020 the band self released their 4th album, AK Concerto No. 47, 11th Movement in One thousand Major.

Musical characteristics and lyrics [edit]

The band's lyrics are based on their lives growing upward in the violent town of Flintstone. Assault (2013–2014) [edit]

On June thirteen, 2014, Gunn and Gill were arrested on charges of attack with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder stemming from a 2013 incident.[55] As a consequence, King 810 canceled their commitment to perform at Download Festival.[52] Upon further investigation, charges were dismissed.[56]

2021 storming of the United States Capitol (2021) [edit]

On January six, 2021, David Gunn was photographed on site at the storming of the United States Capitol.[57] Gunn publicly responded on his Instagram confirming he attended, but did not participate in any crimes.[58] [59] Gunn disclosed in his postal service that he was contacted past the FBI regarding his attendance only there was no cause for charges.

Yavid (2018–present) [edit]
